All purchases made on The Opening Gate — including the Basic PDF and Digital Premium editions of the journal — are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.
Digital content is delivered immediately upon purchase. By completing a transaction, you expressly consent to immediate digital delivery and waive any applicable right of cancellation or withdrawal once digital access has begun.
By purchasing, you confirm that you have reviewed the product description, understand what you are receiving, and agree that dissatisfaction with content does not constitute grounds for a refund. All purchases are considered intentional and authorized by the account holder at the time of checkout.
If you encounter difficulty accessing purchased content, contact us within 48 hours at gate@theopeninggate.com. Resolution may include restoring access, providing replacement access, or troubleshooting assistance at our discretion.
Please note that access may be affected by factors outside our control, including your internet connection, browser settings, or device compatibility. We encourage you to ensure your environment meets standard browsing requirements before purchasing.
Physical copies of the journal are printed on demand and shipped by Lulu, our print partner. Because each copy is printed specifically for your order, physical editions cannot be returned for a refund due to change of mind.
If your physical copy arrives damaged, misprinted, or defective, contact us within 30 days of delivery at gate@theopeninggate.com with photos of the issue, and we will arrange a replacement or refund through Lulu's print quality guarantee.
You may cancel your Patron membership at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will continue to receive your weekly window until then. We do not provide partial refunds for time already used within a billing period. Founding Patrons who cancel forfeit their locked-in rate and rejoin, if at all, at the then-current Patron price.
We reserve the right to refuse refunds or replacement access in cases of suspected abuse, fraud, or patterns of repeated refund or access requests.
We encourage customers to contact us before initiating any payment dispute so we may attempt to resolve the matter directly. Chargebacks filed without prior contact may result in suspension of access to The Opening Gate content and services.
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. Any disputes arising from purchases made on The Opening Gate shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Broward County, Florida.
